Flaming Death! (Reference?)

Merry Christmas Eve.

I don't really celebrate Christmas like most people do. My family tends to open presents on Christmas Eve rather than on Christmas day. I mean, we're not religious, so who cares? I find it fascinating how a Christian celebration is also "celebrated" by non-Christian folks. Christmas for the non-Christians is a sort of Santa Claus day rather than a Jesus Christ day, I believe, in order to celebrate joy, giving, and family, rather than the "birth" of a savior.

I'm kind of happy tonight because we've finally lit a fire in the fireplace after all of these (five) years of living here. I walked in after work at about seven o'clock and found that fire roaring with a furry rug layed in front of it, the Christmas lights framing the window, and an old black and white movie flickering on the television. It was very nice. And I got the artist's model that I was asking for! I think it will be very useful for when I get back to attempt drawing figures. My parents really liked the heating/massaging back cushion I got them, which I'm glad, because it's nonrefundable and expensive. My mom sat in it for an excessive thirty minutes. Yay. I even got to sneak the cat into the house while my mom (mildly allergic to most kitties) was napping on the furry rug.

Well, I'm rather tired. It's adios, goodnight, and Merry Christmas for when tomorrow comes.

Time to keel over into a puddle of mush.

I mentioned the other day that I was making friendship bracelets for some folks at work. Basically for the keychain ones I made them up as I went along and they turned out pretty wicked. I've made a bracelet for my Edward Cullen, too, and I gave it to him today. He was stolling on by when I was working and I rushed over to give him his bracelet (it's the second one):

"Hi! I finished your... thing!"
"Wow, it looks great. Looks like it took ten hours."
"Hah, no, not quite ten hours."
"How do I get this on?"

He stuck out his wrist for me to tie it on for him. I was hyperventilating and shaking out of nervousness about actually (finally) touching the man--however minimal the contact may be--and apologized for my fingers freezing, so hopefully he thought it was because of the cold. The bracelet only just fit, and I'm glad because I couldn't have made it any longer anyways. He left to clock out, I assume, and came back when I was working and asked me what my plans were for the future--if I was planning on staying at this work place a while or not. It's funny, I was so close to quitting this past summer. I absolutely hated it there, but now there are so many people that I wouldn't want to leave. But I said that I'm definitely not going to be around there forever. I'm sure he won't either. He's got dreams, too.

Dreams of Day

I was called in early to work today, so that I was working a whole eight hour day rather than the near five that I was expecting. They're probably going to start doing that more often now that school is out. I don't mind, I guess; it's money. The problem is that--well, to be fair this is just relative to today--I'm in pain. My muscles ache so much from leaning over all day yesterday from taking exams during the day and making pizzas during the evening that all that strain and stress turned my muscular tissue into lumpy knots that continuously strain themselves in an effort to spontaneously contract. On top of that, when I was closing, I managed to crush my finger so bad that it left an indentation there for a good and throbbing thirty minutes.

But you know what? Today was still a good day, all because at the end of the day I was hugged by someone (no, it wasn't Edward) that I really like. Twice. The second time was because he knew I was cold and he opened up his jacket for me to hug him inside it and get a little warmer. Oh, it was ever so blissful. I texted him after work.

"You're awesome. You made my day."
"Anytime, sweetie."

From all of his newfound sweetness towards me, I'm wondering if he has broken up with his girlfriend. She always seemed like such a bitch to me because whenever I look at her she always makes a terrific effort to avoid looking in my direction. Every single time. She never looks at me, or when she accidentally does, she immediately looks somewhere else, as if I'm the very bane of her existence. It's very rude.

For randomness, another friend of mine texted me asking that if I were a superhero, what super powers would I want?

Hahaha, just kidding. Not Freakaziod. It took me a while to think of something that I really wanted. The first thing that came to mind was invisibility, but then I remembered how I always wished I could control time. It would be so awesome to pause, slow down, or rewind time. I don't think I'd need to go into the future. But when you can control time, you can go back and prevent crimes from ever happening. I'd say that's the best way to stop the villains. And I'd probably use it for personal reasons as well, like fixing mistakes. Yep. I sure would.

Some day I'll show you a bright and ideal world.

So. Hey. Guess what.
New artwork!

These look freakin' awesome and yet took a minimal amount of time. It's like super instant gratification. You just need to have all the materials together (stock images, textures, photoshop) and a sense of what's good composition and color.

"Cheer"

"Like"

"Wonderland"

I'm so proud. I think it's going to be my new style... What I do is simple: I take a couple of shots of some interesting objects, usually macro, and use it as my base. Then I play with colors and layer effects with textures I find in DeviantART resources until I come up with something as sweetawesome as these. And since I'm done with the fall semester as of today, I'll be producing a lot more art than I have been. This makes me giddy. It makes me want to enthuse in dorky claps of joy.

In fact, I might just do that. But before I go off my trolley, I just thought I'd say that I had yet another dream about my crush. I was cuddling up to his side as we were on the couch watching some television. Isn't that sweet? He's single, too--in my dreams. And since I mention him so often, let's call him Edward, because he's like my Edward Cullen in the sense that he dazzles me and I feel like I can never have him. That's a true story, too, since he isn't single in my not-dreams. Depressing, nay?

Battle Royale

So. I posted a bulletin on Myspace: Death Note is seriously addicting.

A response: If you mean the anime? It's lame. Naruto for life.

STFU. It radiates awesomeness.

All all death note is is twig guys that have weird powers.

Weird powers? You mean powers of observation and analytical skills? (Oh, snap!)

You're mistaking me for someone who cares.

The dream I had last night was entirely perplexing. Really, it was a good dream within a nightmare, or vice versa. I couldn't quite tell. I don't remember very much of the "story line" save for a few snippets.

What I know for sure is that I was at a make-shift of where I work, and something was going wrong with the production line. Food was falling to the floor at the end of it and people were blaming me. When I went over to the pile, it turned into a mound of shattered glass. Then I saw my crush off in a hallway and remembered that he was showering while I worked and we planned on going on a date afterwards. I followed him into a room... I want to say that it was a bathroom. I found myself laying on the ground and he lays on top of me. I remember vividly his weight on me, and that I was sliding my hands across his back, realizing he was shirtless and still slick from the shower. We were just holding and feeling each other... and then at almost the same time, we both said, "You feel so good to me."

That's all I remember. It's kind of silly. I had another dream the other day that was mostly nightmarish. Here's how that one went:

I was at a house in the dining room either packing or unpacking things in or out of boxes. There were other people in the house too, doing the same thing, one of those people being a coworker of mine. I found a handheld mirror that when I looked into it I saw a room full of disabled children and teenagers smiling and waving at me, and I waved back, setting the mirror down on the floor. My coworker found a box with a gun in it and decided to put it on the floor instead of wherever else all the other items we found went to. Then I noticed he put the box next to the mirror, and I became concerned and worried enough to want to pick up the mirror and check on the children. When I did, crouching down to turn the face of the mirror up, I peeked and saw only blood splatters. I set it back down on the floor and cried.... Then I woke up.

Zeitgeist: Addendum

This is an important entry. If you fail to read this entry, you are corrupting yourself.

I'm not saying this because I just want you to read my stupid blog for the visitor counts. What I am going to tell you to do is probably one of the most important things you could do in your entire lifetime: be informed.

I've written about the Zeitgeist movie in my older blog, but now there's something more to add on to it. First, if you haven't heard of it, Zeitgeist is a free online movie that informs you about control: how you are controlled and how society is controlled by political, monetary, and religious institutions. Recently, a second movie was added called Zeitgeist: Addendum, which goes more in depth about what exactly is the nature of how our society is ran, how preposterously damaging to us our current situation is, where this is leading, what has been done to stop positive change by power elitists, and what can be done to fix things for the better of everyone in order to be truely free.

Some of the facts in these movies are difficult to digest and even disturbing, especially with preconceived notions of religious faith, as well as how we were raised to blindly trust our government and principles. Keep an open mind when viewing these movies. They are each two hours long, so if you don't have time to watch them, make time to. Watching these movies is more important than four hours of sleep.

The main site for the movies: http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

After watching both movies, please visit: http://www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/ and http://www.thevenusproject.com/

And if you want to make a difference in the world, to change it for the better, then spread the word. Talk to people you know about it. Write about it in your own blog. Support the movement and boycott the power elitists. The movie offers a lot of suggestions itself.

Keep it on the inside.

I've posted on my Myspace a link to this here blog and I'm curious if any one of the people I know will ever bother to wander here. Well, if they do happen to wander, they should know that I'm making them their Christmas present today. Oh, snap!

Yeah, so I'm making friendship bracelets. Or if the person is not bracelet-inclined, a keychain of the same form. Because I have mad friendship-bracelet-making skills; you have no idea.

That really, ridiculously thick one in the middle took a really, ridiculously long time to make. No kidding. And then there's the kind not shown that can take but ten minutes to make and still look rad-awesome. So I'm asking all my new friends at work their favorite colors so I can make a bunch of bracelets for them. Aren't I the sweetest?

I got two of my tests back: one for chemistry and one for math. Both are about the same score, an 89 and a 90 percent. I'm glad, because my other scores on the previous tests were dreadful. I was so ashamed. The last math test I should be getting back tomorrow. I probably won't post up that score, though.

I took some pictures this morning. Mainly because I had the strange curiosity to see myself half naked in a photo. Yeah, weird. One did turn out freakin' awesome, though... Harhar. Even if I was wearing mismatched knickers. I do that all the time, haha. I probably shouldn't post the picture here in case there are some pervy people trying to perve more pervisome perviness. So here's a link for those of you who are less pervy and more mature, and simply curious of my masterful photography, modelling, and editing skills. Not.

I never really understood the difference between underwear and swimwear, though. I mean, it's not mature content if it's a swimsuit, but it is if it's knickers? Come on, society.

The Story of a Murderer

Perfume is one of my favorite movies. Over the past year or so, I have been looking for a copy to get my hands on but could never seem to find until today. There was only one copy available, hahaha. And so naturally, since it has been a while since I've seen it, I watched it again.

Oh my GOD. Beautiful. I mean, the story is amazingly unique, the cinematography is gorgeous, the score is exquisite, and the actors are phenomenal. What more could I possibly ask for? I've been sighing in contentment for the past twenty minutes. And... having a renewed interest in going to see an orchestra or the opera, as well? Right now I feel like I want to buy the soundtrack, but that's rather silly--I'd want to sing along with those sopranos, and can I? Hardly. Besides, it's mostly creepy horror opera music, which is awesome, but not something you listen to on a daily basis. Like Paramore, for example.

Besides that, I went shopping for Christmas gifts today. I found a lovely bunch of stuff for my mom and my step dad. I spent a lot. For some reason, I don't really care. It must be that holiday spirit.

No. It's not.

11.27.2008

What's the deal?

I suppose that it's customary to convey some sort of giddy drawl about Thanksgiving day, but let's be honest here. Society doesn't care about the day itself. Have you looked at what's showing on television today? Christmas movies. True story. There are absolutely no Thanksgiving movies playing whatsoever.

Nothing particularly special is going on today for me. I'm just home with my mom and step dad and we're going to have some obscure dinner involving seafood in soup. Mind, I despise seafood, my mother knows this, and yet she makes the thing. Wonderful.

Even though we're not doing anything special and we don't have company, I for some reason felt compelled to doll myself up. Not in the sense of sparkling glittery diva fashionism, but just to look generally nice. I don't wear make-up, you see. I don't really see the point to. Anyway, I intend to take some pictures with the family, although I'm not sure they are willing to participate. I'll just have to make them.

Oh, and I'm just saying this because I can't stop listening to it, the new song by Paramore called "Decode" is freaking amazing. It's so awesome I ought to just collapse from sweetawesomeness radiation. Not even joking.

11.24.2008

All to no avail.

I went out with some friends to see Bolt. Yeah, it's a kid movie, but who cares. Those always have the best stories. I'm pretty much sick of seeing those dumbass movies with just tons of sex and violence--the ones where I can actually feel my IQ dropping. Anyway, it was pretty cute. Makes sense that they were all friends from work. It seems like I hardly have any other friends out there besides.

There's a stop light at the intersection of where I work at that I swear hates my guts. Twice now, it has skipped me in my turn to go, several rotations around. I had even come to predict which set of cars would go next besides me, and got it right. That's pretty messed up. I am going to torch that stop light some day. Maybe it'll be one of my death bed wishes and my old and withered husband will help wheel me out to the intersection so I could, and then I could die happy.

11.21.2008

That's just not right.

I am monumentally disappointed in the Twilight movie. It freakin' sucked like how Edward sucked the venom out of Bella's system. While I am a fan of the books, this movie was absolutely terrible.

For one thing, Robert Pattinson is a terrible actor. I read an interview with him talking about the movie before it came out today, and he was saying how he'll actually have to try for this movie because he's got to fake an American accent. He's so arrogant. And you know what? I DON'T FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE. At all. Seriously.

Secondly, most of the people in the theater, including myself, were snorting at the serious parts of the movie because it was just so melodramatic, cheesy, lame, and awkward. Especially in the cases where Rob is trying to do a serious face, because he looks so ridiculous when he's trying to fake facial expressions.

Thirdly, they did not stick to the story, and that always irritates me. Period.

Aside from that irritation, I'm still jubilant over the fact that my brother is staying for the weekend. I'll have to sneak him out of the house at some point to go catch a movie or some such nonsense.

11.20.2008

"We're all mad here."

I'm feeling rather confident about my chemistry midterm today. I ended up being the second person to leave, with about twenty five minutes left to take it. Given, the last two exams I also felt I did fairly well and ended up not doing so well at all, so I musn't give up my hopes again. That's one of the things that I just can't take: having my hopes given up. If you want sound advice for how to get along with me, that's never to give my hopes up. I hold a grudge for that much longer than the usual overnight.

Now all I have to worry about are two math midterms on the same day, with an extended work day the night before, going up until 11:00 pm. And yes, thanks for asking, I do hate them for it. I'd prefer to have sleep the night before exams, but, pardon me, I suppose that's just too much to ask for.

I've got Twilight plans for tomorrow. Turns out only the one friend and I are going together, which is okay with me. We're going to revist our old elementary school and hang out with our old sixth grade teacher once all the kiddies have gone home. Only now, he's a second grade teacher and tends to make fun of his students in their absence. It's actually really funny. He's still one of my favorite teachers out of all the teachers I have had in my entire lifetime. That's sure something, isn't it? He was more like a friend. I mean, he even let me fix his hair into a bunch of tiny rubber-banded spikes. How awesome is that?

Well, since I just got back from a good 8.5 hour day of schooling, I'm done with that for the day. I've taken up the rather odd interest in revisiting my Disney movie memories, like rewatching Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland. It's a really odd feeling, realizing how idiotic I was when I was younger. I didn't realize how extravagantly quickly Aurora and Phillip managed to start cuddling up in daydreams of marriage on their very first sighting of each other or how the whole movie spans just one day. It's really quite silly. Anyway, I'm going to watch Beauty and the Beast, now. Toodles.

11.18.2008

Excellent.

After getting my paycheck on Friday, my financial aid loans in the mail, and the money from my CD back into my checking account, I've got a heck of a lot of money on me. And it just happens to be nearing the holiday season. No, that's not a good thing. Because now I don't have any reason not to get everyone nice gifts. I don't like it. I'm a naturally selfish person and feel like I need all of the money that I do have. I'm sure I will, even if not now. I want to get a car that actually works some day, you know?

Anyways. With all of this money I've got, I'm feeling tempted to spend it on things like movies, music, and clothes. I've had my eye on a few shirts online. The one here is my favorite. Oh, yes. It is most good.

On another more random note, I was confronted the other day by a coworker that I must have been a gun-slinger in a past life because of the way that I walk. All I have to respond with is this:
Wicked.

11.17.2008

Oh, the anticipation.

New blog. No big deal.

Apparently there was a leak of the Midnight Sun manuscript. Stephenie Meyer decided to post up her own very unpolished version online so her fans wouldn't stoop so low as to go searching for these illegal versions of Edward's point of view of Twilight. I believe it is unfinished as of yet, but if you really, really want to read it, as I do, here is an easy link:

Midnight Sun Online Manuscript

Exciting, no? You just want to lose sleep over it, do you not?
